Towards Professional Use of Lethal Force by Police in South Africa

This is a transcript of a presentation delivered by David Bruce to a public dialogue organised by the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation. The presentation deals with the question of the use of lethal force by the police, including the legal framework surrounding the issue, conceptual issues relating to lethal force, and the media engagement around the issue.
